SPECIAL EVENT: The Beastly Bombing Meets The Huffington Post

The Secret Order of Revolutionary Operettists presents

In a special panel discussion following the regular performance on March 16th, 2007

Topic: Where the Truth Lies
Comedy and Politics in the Post 9/11 World

Los Angeles’ most unlikely cult hit, The Beastly Bombing, hosts a special evening of irreverent opera and relevant cultural discussion, in association with The Huffington Post. Come for the show: stay for the panel discussion with some of America’s top political commentators and free-thinkers. Moderated by Roy Sekoff, editor of The Huffington Post, our panel of popular HuffPost bloggers will explore the role of satire in society with special focus on comedy as a tool for social commentary. Are non-mainstream viewpoints easier to digest through comedic storytelling or does satire polarize debate by highlighting the extremes of behavior and thought? Is Ann Coulter a satirist or a bigot? ...or both?

Panelists include HuffPost bloggers Adam McKay (Anchorman, Talladega Nights), Tim Long (The Simpsons), Paul Slansky (The New Yorker), Seth Greenland (novelist of The Bones), Bill Diamond (Murphy Brown), Michael Simmons (National Lampoon), and other special guests. Don't miss your chance to see pure entertainment mesh with political theory in what promises to be an intellectually stimulating evening of art and discussion.

Please note that this evening has a special ticket price of $30.
