Hoot and Howl 2013

Get ready for a fundraising benefit unlike any other!

A secret back entrance to Happy Hollow through Danny’s cave, 3 signature cocktails, private access to the park playgrounds after hours, 7 foodie stations by PSRT, up close animal encounters, a complimentary photo booth by The Laugh Box, dancing, bathtub racers, Happy Hollow “Lounge”, and a sake bar from Yuki Sushi at the top of the Redwood Lookout. Danny the Dragon and the rollercoaster will be open. All your favorites from last year, plus some new surprises.

Leave the kids at home (this is for kids at heart 21+ only) and party with the animals after dark.

Attending this event supports all areas of the Park & Zoo growth, including arts, education, exhibit renovation and conservation. This year, we have an incredible opportunity to be a part of adding to a critically endangered species. Sophia, our Jaguar, has been selected for breeding (click here to learn more!). We need to build out a “bachelor pad” for her potential mate, as well as purchase technology upgrades to assist with the special husbandry that goes with monitoring and caring for large cat introduction and breeding.

Proceeds from the Hoot & Howl benefit many program areas of the Park & Zoo, but we will be highlighting Species Survival Program at this year’s event.

Get your party posse into gear and be a Safari Captain! Your group of eight will have a great night out at this much-talked about Silicon Valley event, and will enjoy the satisfaction of supporting animals, conservation, education and a favorite San Jose institution. Safari Captains will be listed by name on event signage, and will receive a pith helmet at the Hoot & Howl to let everyone know of your VIP status. Download a Safari Captain packet by clicking here.
