Modern yoga as we know currently is practiced hundreds of millions of people around the world. The origins of yoga date back 5,000 years, however, modern yoga as we know it began early in the 20th century. “The Father of Modern Yoga” or Indian savant T. Krishnamacharya (1888-1989) was pinnacle in the development and proliferation of the modern yoga movement. That story is far less known and is what this film is all about.
A feature-length documentary including rare historical footage as well as lavish reenactments.
