Williamsburg Women's Chorus Presents the Annual Holiday Concert
Our Annual Holiday Concert will feature Sir Christëmas by Derek Holman. This large work is a sequence of English carols and will be accompanied by piano, flute and percussion. Other highlights of the concert will include the premiere of a new anthem "There's a Song in the Air" by local composer Teresa Yoder. The Williamsburg Youth Chorale will again join us for the December performance to sing music by American composers Paul Carey and Andrea Ramsey, and will accompany the Women's Chorus to close with two secular tunes for the holiday season, "The Bells" by Lon Beery and a fun-filled setting of the "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" by Jeff Funk. The Choraliers will perform a delightful Hanukah piece by Robert Applebaum, “Funky Dreidl” and a festive rendition of “Wassailin’” by Clifton Noble.
