This is one of the most beautiful urban runs in the world. Covering six miles along the northern tip of the SF Peninsula, you will experience a scenic shoreline promenade, passing historic Crissy Field - the site of early aviation exploits. As we ascend to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, high above the Pacific Ocean, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the City skyline, the Marin Headlands, Alcatraz and Angel Island. The return trip through the Presidio includes a stop at the Palace of Fine Arts, an architectural gem, and the only remaining building from the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition.
This 6.2 mile run (10 km), approximately 1-1/4 hrs, is on pavement and dirt trails. The route is mostly flat with some stairs. Easy to Moderate difficulty.
