Artist and artificial intelligence researcher Marc Downie refers to FIELD not as software, but as an open-source programming environment. Its power and versatility may make it the most radical development in the digital arts since Max/MSP/Jitter. Downie’s talk about his creation and its artistic applications will be accessible even to non-gearheads.
