ALFRED JAMES BAND w/REBECCA LOEBE AND TIFF JIMBER Alfred is the only cellist in the world playing a 5-string carbon fiber cello -- standing up!! This summer (June 2007) the band toured Greece & Turkey with the world renowned Philadelphia Boys Choir and Men's Chorale!! We came back from tour to learn that we had been selected as XM Satellite Radio's Artist of the Week on XM's Radar Report and received National airplay! We have been featured on NPR's All Songs Considered, opened at the Milford Music Festival for Dave Mason and at the Kimmel Center for Bruce Hornsby. In May 2007 we won a Recording Academy/ Grammy singer/ songwriter contest and have performed on NBC's morning show 4 times. Alfred recently played cello for the AMC trailer for Tom Cruise's The Last Samurai. In September 2006 we were nominated for 2 Underground Grammy's -- Album of the Year and Song of the Year -- out of 25,500+ albums with over 350,000 songs submitted! We released our first album, Lucky If Easy, in February 2005 and were now touring colleges and acoustic venues Nationally. Rebecca Loebe is best known for her songbird voice, spirited live shows, and effervescent wit. Her combination of southern charm and intelligent humor captivate audiences and have them laughing, shouting and singing along. Fans of the Americana/folk tradition identify with her breezy storytelling while audiences of mainstream pop/rock sing along to her catchy, confessional original songs. Tiff holds nothing back when she plays, producing unique pop-rock music. She smashes out rhythms and dances on lyrics. Her music can be described as Vanessa Carlton meets Ben Folds. Her influences include Billy Joel, Tori Amos, John Mayer, and Fiona Apple. Listeners consistently compare her style of music to that of Laura Nyro. Her new album, Obstacles, is Tiffs second solo album. Obstacles is a collection of intricate piano pop songs.
